Banner guidelines

  • JPG, PNG or WebP, at the size shown above. Keep the file under 1 MB.
  • Show your business name clearly. Add your phone number or main service if there’s room.
  • Sponsors must be auto electrical or closely related automotive businesses.
  • No misleading claims, prices you can’t honour, or content that breaches Google’s advertising policies.
  • If we can’t approve a banner, we’ll ask you for a new one. If you’d rather not, we’ll refund your first month in full.

Questions business owners ask

Is the free listing really free?

Yes. There’s no card to enter and no trial that turns into a bill. You can keep a free listing for as long as you like.

Why is my business already listed?

We list genuine, operating auto electrical businesses and mechanics so locals can find them. We check every business against public sources first. Listings show only the business name, suburb and a short description until the owner claims them and adds more.

Can I have my listing removed?

Yes. Use the claim form and choose “Remove this listing”. It comes down straight away.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Banner and sponsor spots are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically, and you can cancel any time. Just email us or reply to your receipt and we’ll cancel it straight away.

What happens if a payment fails?

Cards expire and get replaced, so we don’t take your spot down straight away. If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following three weeks and emails you a link to update your card. Your banner stays up during that time. If payment still can’t be taken, the subscription ends and your banner and profile are removed.

Does paying move me up the list?

Yes. A suburb banner moves your listing to the top of that suburb’s listings. An area sponsorship puts your sponsor card and listing at the top of the area page and every suburb page in it. The Sydney-wide sponsor goes to the top of the full Sydney directory. Paid placements are marked as sponsored, as Google requires.

What if the spot I want is taken?

Each spot has one business at a time. Tap the taken spot in Book your spot and join its waiting list: we’ll email you the moment it becomes available, and it goes to whoever books first. If a spot is somehow taken by the time you pay, we’ll offer you another spot or refund you in full.

Who runs this site?

Auto Electrical Sydney is run by Ozautoelectrics (Ozautoelectrics Pty Ltd), an Australian supplier of quality auto electrical parts to retail and trade customers.
